Tame Your Tongue

"But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison." - James 3:8 (KJV)

James 1:26 (KJV)
26If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain.

1 Corinthians 13:1-3 (KJV)
1Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.
2And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.  3And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

Matthew 12:34-37 (KJV)
34O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.  35A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.  36But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.  37For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.

James 3:8-10 (KJV)
8But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.  9Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God.  10Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be.

Psalm 62:4 (KJV)
4They only consult to cast him down from his excellency: they delight in lies: they bless with their mouth, but they curse inwardly. Selah.

Isaiah 6  - whole chapter

"For as he thinketh in his heart, so [is] he" -Proverbs 23:7 (KJV)

"There is nothing reliable in what they say; Their inward part is destruction itself. Their throat is an open grave; They flatter with their tongue." -Psalm 5:9 (NASB)

"4Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,  5Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;" - 1 Corinthians 13:4-5 (KJV)

As we have discussed earlier, the Marxist-Obamaists are trying to overtake and manipulate the Church and the broad culture (some would say they already have) by using the term "Social Justice". According to them, social justice involves EQUALITY. Equality of income, equality in housing, equality in lending, etc.

This is classic "Big Lie" tactics, hatched by the father of lies himself, satan. By co-opting the word "equal" from the Declaration of Independence, satan has spun this whole notion of equality as classic American morality. How could you possibly be against EQUALITY? The only people who are against EQUALITY are bigots and racists and evil, greedy, selfish people. America stands for equality! How can you be against justice? Justice is the American way! JUSTICE IS EQUALITY!

We have to be able to smack down these lies, and do it decisively. I'll bet that most of you reading this right now for the first time couldn't come back at some Marxist-Obamaist freak that was screaming these things in your face and calling you a racist. Well, I'm here to help. This can be answered in THREE words:

Justice DEMANDS inequality.

Justice is the application of different outcomes based upon individual choice and/or performance.

If we both take a calculus exam and you score 92 out of 100 and I score 40 out of 100, should we both get the same grade? Should we both get A's? Should we both get F's? Should we split the difference and both get C's? NO. You should get an A, and I should get an F. This is justice. Unequal outcomes based on different performance.

Two men are tried for rape and murder. One man has DNA evidence linking him to the crime along with surveillance camera footage showing him committing the crime. The second man happened upon the scene and was an innocent bystander. Both the DNA and the video surveillance prove this. Should both men be convicted and imprisoned for life? Should both men go free? Should both men get a light sentence? NO. The guilty man should be imprisoned. The innocent man should go free. This is justice. Unequal outcomes based on different choices.

One person is a devout Christian who has lived an imperfect life, yet endeavored to remain free of sin, always loved God deeply and trusted Him and His Mercy. This person dies in a state of friendship with Christ. Another person is an athiest who has lived a life of debauchery, cruelty, deception and violence. This person rejects God completely and dies in a state of prideful hatred of God and complete self-absorption. Should both enter heaven? Should both be cast into hell? Should both be merely snuffed out of existence? NO. The first person has chosen heaven. The second person has chosen hell. This is justice. Unequal outcomes based upon choice and performance. This is the manifestation of God's perfect love.

All men are CREATED equal. But God's love made manifest in His perfect justice demands that all men be free to choose and thus experience and reap UNEQUAL outcomes. The Marxist-Communist-Obamaist lie is that a government of men can create a "utopia", or heaven on earth, in which ALL MEN reap heaven regardless of their choices or performance. The reality is that the Marxist-Communist-Obamaists can only deliver HELL ON EARTH, which is indeed suffered equally by the proletariat, while "heaven" is reserved exclusively for the ruling class.

Don't be afriad to proclaim that you stand for INEQUALITY. Don't allow yourself to be bullied by ANYONE into believing the Big Lie that total equality persists BEYOND creation, most especially by CLERGY. We are the Church Militant, and we must therefore FIGHT and stand boldly against all false teaching and Marxism in the Church and in the secular world. Evil is afoot in the House of the Lord and in our land. Stand firm and hold the line. If you don't, no one else will.

Here's your theology lesson for the day, and I have the feeling that more than a few of you are not going to like this one. If there is one thing you should have figured out about me by now, it is that I DO NOT PULL PUNCHES. Looking at the events of the last few weeks and the sheer speed with which the national and global situation is being pushed towards the cliff's edge by the Obama regime, I want to get this on the record so that there is still time for people to sit and calmly think about it.

The entire notion of a "rapture" of Christians at the end of time is a dirty, satanic lie that imperils human souls.

1. Are these the "End Times"? I have no idea. And neither does anyone else. When it does happen, there will be no way that anyone will miss it. Don't worry about that. Here is what I do know. The western world is emerging from 60+ years of peace, progress and prosperity unparalleled in human history. This era from the end of WWII until the election of Obama is already being labeled by historians as the "Pax Americana". The Pax Americana is coming to an end. Does this necessarily imply the Second Coming is near? No. The last 2000 years have seen wall-to-wall wars, genocides, plagues and every imaginable type of human cruelty and suffering all over the world. Our little cocoon in time here in the U.S. and Canada since the mid-1940s has been off-the-charts in terms of peace, safety and human happiness. In other words, our happy, free lives have been the miniscule exception in the continuum of human history. This point CAN NOT be overemphasized. So, the rocky, frightening current events MUST be placed into that perspective. Having one's bank accounts seized by the IRS, or even being thrown in prison is pretty much a non-event compared to what happened in the Vendee genocide in France, or the rape of Nanking by the Japanese. I'll not go into detail here. Google either of those terms if you want to see what human beings are capable of doing to one another - but don't say I didn't warn you. My point is that terrible, terrible things have happened since 33 AD that surely felt like the "End Times" to the people that suffered through them, but they were not the End Times. They were just horrific episodes in human history. We must humbly accept that this very well could be the case now. Are we so full of ourselves that we think that even the slightest hint of suffering DEMANDS Christ's return? Uh, no. Let's get over ourselves, shall we?

2. The concept of the “Rapture” is less than 300 years old. The very first hint of anything even close to the concept of Rapture was put forth by a Puritan by the name of Increase Mather in Boston in the early 1700s. This idea was identified as a money-making scheme that was exciting and sensational to people and that would fill the pews and collection plates. Early drivers of the Rapture bandwagon included Darby, Moody, and Scofield who were the direct antecedents to Lindsey, LaHaye and Jenkins today. So, we have over 1700 years of Christian history and scholarship and Christ has exactly TWO comings – the first from 1 AD to 33 AD, and the second “in glory to judge the living and the dead” which is yet to occur. One. Two. Period. Then, all of a sudden, a shoe salesman (Moody) and a lawyer (Scofield) discover that there is a THIRD coming, between the two – a SECRET coming that only THEIR FOLLOWERS will benefit from. Do I need to go any further? Seriously. Because NO ONE had read the Bible up until Moody and Scofield. Nope. Not a soul. The first two people to ever read the Bible were a shoe salesman and a lawyer back east, who happened to discover an “obvious” doctrine that radically alters Christian theology, and purely as a side note would make them very, very rich men. YOU BETCHA. I’ll take a side of global warming with my Rapture, please.

3. Here is why this is so important. People who subscribe to the Rapture trap think that they will be spared any suffering in the End Times. All of the “good” people will be raptured away before the tribulation period, and all of the “bad” people will be “Left Behind” to suffer. Hmmm. So let me get this straight. Good people don’t suffer. So, your grandpa that was eaten alive by cancer – he must have deserved it. The people in northeast France who were raped and mutilated by the revolutionary mercenaries, they must have deserved it. The US soldiers that were eviscerated and died holding their guts in their arms on Omaha Beach – they must have deserved it. Not only did they deserve it, but their families deserved it, too. So when Jesus said, “Take up your cross and follow me,” He must have been CONFUSED, because Christians don’t suffer. As we can see, not only do Christians suffer, but they should EXPECT to suffer. Read the Beatitudes. Blessed are those who MOURN. Blessed are you when you are PERSECUTED. And on and on. There is an old quote: God has one Son without sin, but He has no sons without suffering.

4. What satan has done with this Rapture lie is completely break down Christians’ ability to bear and persevere in their faith through periods of suffering. What are all of the “Left Behind” fans going to do IF the End Times actually do begin - or ANY period of suffering - and they aren’t whisked away? Oh, there are several things they will think. They will think that God doesn’t love them and has abandoned them, and thus lose their faith. They will think that the Bible is untrue and untrustworthy (because the rapture is so clearly Biblical, and Hal Lindsey just CAN’T be wrong) and thus lose their faith. They will think that they must not be saved, and the fact that they are still on the earth is proof that they are already damned, and thus lose their faith. What is the common operator? That they will LOSE THEIR FAITH. People, that is satan’s sole objective. He will do anything and everything in his enormous power to get you, me and every possible person to LOSE THEIR FAITH. And of course, one of the most effective methods to get people to lose their faith is to pervert and twist the Bible and doctrine into traps like this. The raising up of false prophets also is a highly effective means of breaking peoples' spirits.

5. What this Rapture trap also does is cause Christian Soldiers to go AWOL from the fight. How many times have I heard people say, “Oh well, I don’t need to worry about any of this. The Lord is going to Rapture me home, and I won’t be around to see any of this happen. I just have to remember that none of this has anything to do with me.” This really gets my dander up. Look, every single one of us is going to be JUDGED. And what will we be judged upon? OUR ACTIONS AND DECISIONS IN THIS WORLD. Don’t tell me that the world doesn’t matter. The world and my interaction with it will be the foundation of my personal judgment before Christ. I am baptized and have confessed Christ. What do I do with that? Do I follow Christ’s command to go out into the world and make Him manifest (imperfectly!) in the world? Or do I take my salvation, smugly tuck it into my pocket and promptly retire to my room to engage in a life of self-absorbed self- satisfaction? “I’m going to heaven. I’m going to be Raptured. And to hell with the rest of you.” Literally. I think I remember St. Paul saying something about working out one’s salvation “in fear and trembling.” Pompous, selfrighteous disengagement is about as far from that as you can get. The Lord’s Prayer says, “Thy will be done ON EARTH as it is in heaven.” Are we going to cooperate in God’s will on earth, or just surrender that bit to satan? Satan is definitely trying to deceive you into surrendering the earth to him. The Rapture trap is a big tool on his belt for that.

So there you go. Whether we are leading up to just another period of human suffering, or to the Glorious Coming of Christ, we have to have our heads on straight and be steeled and prepared for battle, physically but ESPECIALLY spiritually. Either way, satan is going to be using the situation to rip as many of us from the arms of Christ as he possibly can. DON’T LET HIM DO IT. Cling to the Cross.

Originally posted November 27, AD 2010We need to have a frank discussion about Christianity, war and pacifism, because we may all be making direct decisions about these huge questions in our own lives before long. Some scripture popped into my mind earlier this week, and I was able to really dig into it yesterday. I was taken aback by what I found – but in a good way. I hope that this will help bring some clarity, or at the very least start some discussions. I have been thinking all day about whether or not my exegesis is being influenced by my own personal leanings on this subject. Perhaps it is. You will need to be the judge of that – but consider yourself disclaimed.

First, a small but necessary sidetrack. I have been asked many times about which Bible translation I use or think is best. I used to hemm and haw and say something non-committal about the King James version. I now know beyond a shadow of a doubt what translation we need to be using. We need to be using the Douay-Rheims translation which was begun in 1582 and completed in 1610. It is only two steps removed from the original texts. The Douay-Rheims is the direct translation of St. Jerome’s Latin Vulgate. St. Jerome was commissioned to translate the entire canon of scripture into Latin in the year 382 in preparation for the Church Councils which finally set and canonized the Bible, particularly the Coucil of Carthage in 387. St. Jerome worked from ORIGINAL texts as much as possible, and translated from Hebrew, Greek and Aramaic. The Douay-Rheims is the direct translation from St. Jerome’s translation of the original texts into modern English. Remember, English as we recognize it today has only been around for 550 years or so. If you were to be dropped into England earlier than the year 1450, you would have a very, very difficult time communicating. So, the Douay-Rheims has between it and the original texts only St. Jerome’s Latin Vulgate. I personally use a Bible that is Douay-Rheims side-by-side with the Latin Vulgate. As I pick up more and more Latin, I find myself reading the Latin, and using the English as a cross-check. You’re about to see that this is all very, very important.

Let’s go to Luke 22 – the Last Supper. Christ has just instituted the Eucharist and the Christian liturgy. By doing this in anticipation of His death on the Cross the next day, He has made Calvary the centerpoint of time. He has drawn the Old Testament forward to the Cross, and He has pulled the time after Calvary backward. Every moment in time will now pass through and be reconciled to Calvary. (“And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all things to Myself.” John 12:32) What I want you to appreciate is the enormousness of the occasion. This is one of the most important things that has ever or will ever happen. This isn’t just a farewell meal. The entire world and everyone in it is utterly pivoting on what is happening in this room.

Let’s go to verse 35 through 38. Jesus has just told Peter that he will deny Him three times.

“When I sent you without purse and scrip and shoes, did you want anything? But they said: Nothing. Then said He unto them: But now he that hath a purse, let him take it, and likewise a scrip: and he that hath not, let him sell his coat and buy a sword. For I say to you that this that is written must yet be fulfilled in Me. And with the wicked was he reckoned. For the things concerning Me have an end. But they said: Lord, behold, here are two swords. And He said to them: It is enough.”

FYI: "scrip" means money. What He is telling them is that they are about to encounter evil, and in preparation for this they need to do whatever they need to do in order to prepare. He is saying that they need to reallocate their assets and “buy a sword”. In Latin, “emat gladium”. Emat = buy, purchase, acquire, procure. Gladium = sword.

Wow. I can hear the hippies screaming from here. “He didn’t really mean it! He wasn’t speaking literally! He was speaking figuratively!”

He was speaking, as God Almighty almost always does, on multiple levels, INCLUDING THE LITERAL. Oh, yes. I’ll concede that we should take from this scripture His call to reject materialism and gird ourselves for spiritual battle. No doubt. But if we delude ourselves into thinking that this is the ONLY sense in which He is speaking, we are missing something huge. Look at the last verse:

“But they said: Lord, behold, here are two swords. And He said to them: It is enough.”

Okay. Stop, stop, stop. Hold the phone. Put out the cat. First of all, this proves that He was speaking in the literal sense in addition to the figurative sense. But more importantly, do you realize what this means? At least two of the apostles arrived at the Upper Room wearing side arms, which they then took off so they could sit on the floor around the low table that was used in those days. What this also means is that there were side arms present, in the room, at the Last Supper.

Now here is where all of the hippies are going to absolutely lose it. What is the contemporary, technological equivalent of a sword? What is considered a “side arm” today? That’s right. A handgun. Now you can scream and spit and stomp and rage and retch all you want, but you know I’m right. The apostles report that they have two swords, and Jesus says, “It is enough.” I saw in my research that some scholars try to paint Jesus as snapping at the apostles, trying to translate “Satis est (It is enough)” as “Oh, enough already!” I don't hear that at all. I hear Him simply saying that two swords will be enough. This is where we get into huge problems with modern quasi-Christian “scholars” projecting their own agendas onto their translation of the Bible. Here are a couple of examples of bad, agenda-driven translations:

“Enough of that!” (Holman Christian Standard)

“Enough of that; no more sword talk!” (The Message – not a joke, they completely fabricated that second phrase.)

Even if you go with these false translations, you’re still stuck with the fact that there were side arms IN THE ROOM at the Last Supper. What, are you going to argue that Jesus didn’t KNOW that there were swords in the room? Who is Jesus? He’s God Almighty. He knows EVERYTHING. Further, if this was just a horrible mistake or coincidence, why would Jesus make specific reference to swords and arming one’s self, thus leading the apostles to inventory the weapons arsenal in the room? FURTHER, why would the Holy Spirit, through Luke, put all of this down in writing? Why are we all sitting in front of our respective computer screens, poring through our Bibles, reading and discussing this 1977 years after the fact? Dude. It is not sufficient at this point to simply declare me a bloodthirsty, gun-toting war monger and then walk away. You have to refute and rebut the logical progression I just laid out. Good luck with that.

Now, let’s go to verse 49. They’re in the Garden, and Jesus has gone through His agony. Now Judas, with the Jewish guards, approaches. Judas kisses Jesus to show the guards which man they should arrest. The apostles see this and ask, “Lord, shall we strike with the sword?” Dude, they’re STILL ARMED. If Jesus was disgusted with the swords back in the Upper Room, why are the apostles wearing SWORDS in the Garden? Don’t you think that hippie, pacifist Jesus would have told them to LEAVE THE SWORDS BEHIND? And then scolded them? He didn’t do that. They put on their swords and walked to the Garden. You know why? Because Jesus is neither a hippie nor a pacifist. Lord, I want to be like Jesus. In my heart. In my heart. Lord, I want to be like Jesus, in my heart. Next, Peter (and we know it was Peter from John 18) struck one of the guards and cut off his ear.

“And they that were about Him, seeing what would follow, said to Him: Lord, shall we strike with the sword? And one of them struck the servant of the high priest and cut off his right ear.”

So just to make certain that we are all appreciating this, Peter, the prince of the apostles, is carrying a side arm and knows what to do with it. Now this next verse is the one that really surprised me:

"But Jesus answering, said: Suffer ye thus far. And when He had touched his ear, He healed him."

Huh? What does “Suffer ye thus far” mean? Hmmm. Let’s look at some contemporary translations and see what they say:

“Stop! No more of this.” (New American Standard)

“Let them be. Even in this.” (The Message)

“No more of this!” (Holman Christian Standard)

Uh-oh. This is not good. These modern translations aren’t anywhere close to the Douay-Rheims. The words “stop” and “no” were obviously part of the English lexicon when the Douay-Rheims was made, and they are not used in this verse. Something is wrong here. In order to figure this out, let’s go to the Latin. “Sinite usque huc.”

Sinite: second person plural active imperative of “sino” Sino: let, permit

Okay, so sinite means “you all let” or “you all permit” in the imperative case, which means a command. (That makes sense! Like “suffer the little children to come unto Me” means “permit the little children . . . “)

Usque: adverb meaning “all the way”

Huc: adverb meaning here, hence, to this place, to this point

You all permit + all the way + here.

Jesus isn’t scolding them. Jesus isn’t saying “no more of this” and barking at them to stop. Jesus is giving them the command to hold and stand down. “You all permit all the way here.” This is a HUGE distinction. If a military commander gives his men the order to hold fire and stand down, is he criticizing them? Is he attacking and rebuking their use of weaponry? Is he communicating that they should be pacifists? Is he rejecting their vocations as soldiers? No. He is simply telling them to hold their fire and stand down because there is, at the moment, a tactical reason to do so. That is EXACTLY what is going on here. Jesus isn’t rebuking the apostles because they are doing exactly what they should do – they are defending their Beloved Friend. If your spouse, or your child, or your best friend, or whoever you love most in this world was being physically attacked and seized, what would you do? What would every fiber of your being be screaming out for you to do? Come to their defense and aid. This is called the Natural Law. God MADE us this way. God made us with the instinctual drive to physically fight to defend those we love. Failure to do so is the sin of cowardice. Cowardice is a violation of both of the Great Commandments: to love God above all else, and to love our neighbor as we love ourselves. Cowardice places the self above both neighbor and God. And in the case of the apostles, they were engaging both commandments directly in the person of Jesus.

This is why Jesus had to give the order to hold and stand down. He had to specifically release them from the Great Commandments in that moment. Why? Two reasons: Obviously, it was the will of the Trinity that Jesus be arrested and crucified. These things had to happen. The apostles couldn’t be expected to understand this at the time, so there was no expectation for them to quietly sit and watch as Jesus was arrested.

Remember who Jesus is. Jesus is God. He knows everything and everyone. Jesus knew every one of the men who came to arrest Him. Not only did He know them, He loved them all infinitely. He MADE every one of them. He wove them together in their mothers’ wombs. He knew every detail of their lives, every thought, every deed. And He loved them. Every single one of them. He also had a plan for every one of them. Like, oh I dunno, CONVERSION? Can you imagine the amount of grace those guards were exposed to? They got to TOUCH Him. They got to look right at Him, and speak to Him. He probably locked eyes with every one of them at some point. Don’t discount that. Even though they were absolutely horrible to Him, they were primed for conversion. We know that Malchus, the guy who got his ear cut off, and then was healed by Jesus, converted. We don’t know about the other guards, but we do know that thousands and thousands of Jews were converted in the first years after the Resurrection. We also know who the first Gentile convert was. It was the Roman Centurion Longinus. Longinus was the Roman soldier who drove the spear into Jesus’ side to make certain He was dead, instead of breaking His legs. When the spear went in, it bursted the cardiac edema, or the water that had built up around Jesus’ Sacred Heart as He died of heart failure. Longinus, standing beside and below Jesus, was sprayed with that water. Baptism. When the water had all come out, Jesus’ Precious Blood sprayed out. Eucharist. The first Gentile convert was a man who had just spent the past nine hours participating in the torture and execution of Jesus. Grace. I wouldn’t be surprised to learn that some of the Jewish guards in the garden were converted too. So we can see an additional reason, beyond the obvious, why Jesus told the apostles to stand down. It was His will that some or all of the guards survive and convert, not die in battle in that moment.

Finally, some might reference Jesus’ words in Matthew’s gospel:

"Then Jesus saith to him: Put up again thy sword into its place: for all that take the sword shall perish with the sword."

Do you know what I think Jesus is doing here? I think this may be a veiled prophecy about islam. Islam teaches that the way to convert people is to put a sword to their neck and give them a choice: convert or die. This is referred to as “the Sword of islam”. This is how all other evil, satanic systems operate as well. Marxism leaps to mind. In Marxist tyranny, people are arrested and imprisoned, given the choice to “learn the new system” or die. In addition to a veiled prophecy, Jesus is telling Peter that Christianity does not and will not convert with the sword. It converts only with love. AND, He is telling Peter and us that Christians do not and will not punish apostates (people who leave the faith - like Judas) with the sword. Both islam and Marxism execute apostates. But the second phrase, “shall perish with the sword” is very telling. Jesus is saying that those who “take the sword” and try to convert people to, and hold people in their evil systems by force will in the end be killed WITH THE SWORD. Who will be wielding that sword? Christ will be victorious, so doesn’t it stand to reason that the Army of Christ will be the one wielding the sword in the second phrase? Boy, this sure sounds like a ratification of self-defense and just war, doesn’t it?

So there you go. Like I said, I’m no authority. I’m just a chick with a Douay-Rheims/Vulgate Bible and a Latin dictionary. I hope you find this interesting, and I hope it spurs thought and discussion. I also hope it drives home the point that the translation of the Bible that we use is utterly critical. It isn't a mere "detail". It is the difference between the Truth and a lie. I think my exegesis is rooted in Scripture, logic and love. I don’t think I’m simply fabricating things that aren’t there in order to support my own personal philosophical leanings - but then, I'm not a "theologian". I guess we’ll all find out - someday.

Today, we remember Jesus' crucifixion, the only means by which we have eternal life.  Islam rejects the fact that Jesus died on the cross.  The Qur'an states that He was never crucified and that He was never died; rather God lifted Him up alive to heaven.  Muslims reason that God would not let Jesus, the good prophet, die such an ignominious death on a cross for sins committed by others.

Muslims cannot see the seriousness of humans' sinful nature, so they rule out the need for redemption.  For them the cross is foolishness.

For the message of the cross is sheer nonsense for those who are lost, but for us who are being saved, it is the power of God (1 Corinthians 1:18, Sharif Bible)

God Almighty, our loving heavenly Father, we acknowledge You as our eternal Redeemer.  We come humbly, awed by your love and Jesus' sacrifice at Calvary.  What same and pain He endured to save us from sin and doom!  The Lamb of god died to give us life.  Thank You

I turn my attention to my Muslims friends who do not understand that Christ's death on the cross was Your supreme gift to sinful humans.  Help them to realize that they are sinners in need of redemption. show them the power of the Cross that saves us from sin and transforms our lives from darkness to light from the kingdom of Satan to the Kingdom of God.

Convict them of their serious sin of rejecting the Cross.  Help them believe Your Word and accept Your Gospel.  I plead for Muslims that they will believe that Jesus died to redeem them from their sins and rose to justify them.  Remove the veil from their minds. open their eyes.  Capture their hearts with Your love.

Glory be to Christ, the first and the Last, the living One who died and who is alive for ever and ever . Amen.

For many years, the children of Israel suffered abuse, cruelty and exploitation at the hands of their task masters in Egypt.  God saw their suffering and came down to deliver them.  That was the great exodus of a whole nation from slavery into freedom.

I believe that today more than one billion Muslims are in worse slavery to Satan.  Yet, through the power of the cross of Christ, God is able to deliver them, set them free and give them eternal life.  Our duty isto intercede for them and use every possible opportunity to bring them to the Kingdom.

You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free... I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit... Remember your word to your servant, in which you have made me hope (John 8:32, NIV; Zechariah 9:11; Psalm 119:49, NRSV).

Father in heaven, I pray that You will count me worthy of Your calling to pray for Muslims, and that by YOur power YOu will fulfill Your good purpose in me (2 Thessalonians 1:11; Philippians 2:13).

You see the misery and distress of Muslims because they are separated from Christ.  They are in slavery, and they need to be set free.  Yes, they are enslaved to a ruthless task master, Satan.  Let the groans of prisoners reach Your throne.  With Your powerful arm rescue those who are condemned to death (Psalms 79:11).

Hear my prayers O God, our God, and do mighty exploits against the enemy.  Set Muslims free from his control and oppression.  Split their "Red Sea" and help exodus of an entire nation take place by the power of the Cross.

O Christ, our Redeemer and Savior, help Muslims to see the light and accept You, the Way, the Truth and the Life, and live for You.

To God by the glory, Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Amen.

I will be trying to post from this book every week....
Please join in each FRIDAY in INTERCEDING and FASTING(one meal) for Muslims and those on the FRONT LINES reaching out to Muslims.

Soon after the 1979 revolution in Iran, that country went through a period of near anarchy.  There was a storm of killing.  The evils done by the Shah's agents were dwarfed by the crimes of the new Islamic government.  Many Iranians were shocked and became disillusioned and disappointed with Islam.  the Islamic revolution they had put their hopes in actually turned into a monster.

Some years ago, an Iranian Muslim lady told my wife and me that she believed Islam was a false religion started by a false prophet.  In all my experience with Muslims, only a few times have I heard such comments from a Muslim.

I will set my throne in Elam [Iran] ... and in those days I will bring the people of Elam back from captivity (Jeremiah 49:38-39, Sharif Bible).

I entreat You, Almighty God, my loving Father, to help me pray diligently for Muslims, and particularly for Iran this week.

I pray for the president of Iran to know Christ, accept His claims and submit to Him by faith.  May he recieve the fullness of the Spirit.

Help the people of Iran.  Many of them are very disappointed with the Islamic revolution and the following sequences of regimes which have not delivered what they promised.

I thank You because in the midst of suffering and bloodshed You are doing miracles in Iran.  Thank You because the Holy Spirit is moving in that country as in no other Muslim country in the world.  Muslims there are coming to Christ, and the Bride of the Lamb is being prepared to meet her Redeemer.  I praise You for that and give You glory and honor.

Pray for the Church to heed 'God's Call Regarding Muslims' - Friday March 18 2011

This week we pray for the Church to heed 'God's Call Regarding Muslims' - Friday March 18 2011

Before ascending to heaven, Jesus instructed His followers to go and make disciples of all nations (Matthew 28:19).  The call had been issued.  The harvest is ready.  Some Muslims are even searching for the truth.  There is an air of expectation.

At the same time, I feel like the Lord is taking hold of the Church, shaking her and saying: Wake up, Church!  You have a mission to carry out among Muslims, and you seem to be asleep.  You need to rethink your responsibility toward Muslims.  You need to reconsider your prayer life and intercession for them.  I am ready to do something unheard of, but you have a role to play... wake up!

Don't say you are too young, for you must go to everyone to whom I send you and say whatever I tell you.  Don't be afraid of the people, for I am with you and will protect you (Jeremiah 1:7-8, Sharif Bible).

Glorious Father, give the Church the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that she may know You better.  May the eyes of her heart be enlightened so that she may know the hope to which You have called her (Ephesians 1:17-18).

May the Church take to heart the responsibility You entrusted to her to go to the whole world and preach the Gospel to all people (Mark 16:15).  Give her love for Muslims.  Help her to know Your purpose and will for them - that You so loved them that You gave Your only Son to die for them.  You do not want them to perish without Christ.

May she hear Your voice to wake up and expect thrilling surprises from the hand of God (Isaiah 51:17).

Help the Church to be willing to pay the price in prayer, fasting, giving and going!  The harvest is white and ready to be gathered in.

Blessed be Your glorious name from everlasting to everlasting,  O God, the only true God.  By Your Spirit I pray, in Jesus' name, amen.
